Care

Provide secure indoor living, scratching surfaces, hiding places, separate food and litter areas, and daily play. Introduce new animals gradually. Keep water available and rooms comfortably cooled without exposing the cat to extreme temperature changes. Ask a veterinarian about diet, vaccinations and parasite prevention.

Welfare

Daily grooming prevents painful mats. Eye care and assessment of flat-face breathing risks are important, especially in heat.
