Grooming Persian Cats

Daily gentle combing helps prevent mats in a Persian's long coat. Check beneath the legs and around the hindquarters, stopping if the skin is painful. Clean around the eyes only with veterinary-approved methods. Grooming does not address breathing problems associated with flat faces: noisy or difficult breathing needs veterinary assessment, not cosmetic treatment.
