Caring for a Pomeranian in Hot Weather
A dense coat requires regular brushing but shaving is not a substitute for a cool environment. Keep walks to cooler hours and check pavement temperature. Offer water and rest, and avoid enclosed balconies and parked cars. Heavy panting, weakness or collapse require urgent veterinary attention. Plan indoor enrichment so avoiding heat does not mean a lack of activity.
